For visitors to Catalonia, Barcelona is their prize and sometimes their only destination; the lovely city of Girona sits in its shadow. I’ll get to why this is a mistake in a future blog. For now, I’ll give a shout-out to a place 22 kilometers east that is loved by people in the region, but hardly known at all by those from further away: the medieval village of Peratallada.
